Quality Technician

Introduction

Do you want to play a key role in protecting and improving the quality of beers produced by one of the fastest-growing independent craft breweries in the Netherlands? As a Quality Technician at Frontaal Brewing Company, you will be responsible for monitoring, improving and safeguarding beer quality and food safety throughout the production process.

You will combine hands-on quality control with the maintenance and continuous improvement of the quality management system. Working closely with production, marketing and external partners, you will ensure that every Frontaal beer meets the brewery’s high standards.

About the role

Required Skills

  • You have relevant experience within Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control
  • Experience within the food or beverage industry is preferred
  • You have completed a relevant degree or have at least higher professional education-level thinking and working ability
  • You have knowledge of HACCP and food safety systems
  • You are familiar with quality standards such as IFS and/or FSSC 22000
  • You work accurately, independently and in a structured manner
  • You can switch effectively between operational quality checks and quality-system management
  • You have strong communication skills
  • You enjoy collaborating with colleagues from different departments
  • Affinity with craft beer, breweries or beverage production is a strong advantage
  • Experience with audits, quality documentation or supplier management is an advantage
  • You are able to analyse production and quality data
  • You are comfortable working in a young and rapidly changing organisation

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out quality checks on beer, raw materials and finished products
  • Maintaining and improving the quality management system
  • Preparing and managing product specifications and quality documentation
  • Testing alcohol percentages and releasing production batches
  • Managing and validating cleaning and CIP processes
  • Coordinating microbiological analyses and sensory testing
  • Conducting internal quality audits
  • Monitoring and implementing changes in legislation and regulations
  • Assessing raw materials, suppliers and quality risks related to product innovations
  • Handling quality complaints and investigating their root causes
  • Analysing production and quality data
  • Working closely with production, marketing and external quality partners
